Super Bowl Sunday has provided a long tradition in the world of advertising and marketing, it is the time where many companies premiere the years most highly anticipated and expensive commercials to the entire world, as well as introduce new marketing concepts that can determine new trends for the industry. This year, NBN did a B-roll feed in conjunction with Super Sunday. We released teaser preview footage of the new M&M’s ad in the days before Super Bowl XLVI and then the full ad on Monday after the game. This year’s commercial featured the introduction of Ms. Brown, the sixth M&M’s character. Some people don’t think B-roll videos do that well anymore – boy, can they be wrong. The Super Bowl teaser and the full ad received 452 broadcasts and an audience over 40 million. You can see it here: http://newsinfusion.com/events/mms
That wasn’t the only Super Bowl-related project NBN has worked on this year, the experts in our Media Relations department booked a media tour for Skinny Cow, our reporting department compiled ad hoc reports for Rolls Royce, we did station notifications and two days of media pitching on Pizza Hut’s Super Bowl promotions and we did station notification and reporting on the Walt Disney World What’s Next commercials that are filmed on the sidelines in the moments right after the game ends.
Game day was very eventful and we look forward to what may come for next year.
