2012, Going Beyond Online. 5 Tips to Improving Your Online Content. Tip 1
New Year. New Methods. Well, not exactly new, lets just call it a little different. Social Media has become an important method for visibility and distribution for many businesses. So how do we keep it going? In 2011 we saw a 14.4% increase of online marketing and advertising in the U.S. alone. A recent study shows that online video ads improves offline campaigns, this is much more effective than traditional advertising objectives (which by the way are still very effective). The main difference of online advertising and traditional advertising and marketing campaigns is the addition of interaction with the consumer. Online ads have the advantage of social media connections and distribution amongst small groups of online users. It is said that this year, Digital Advertising will have an even larger role to play in the marketing world. Here are a few tips to taking advantage of the upcoming online ad boom!
— Tip #1. Be First and Be THE First
In the age of online distribution its not who makes the better product, but who makes it first. It is a race and if you are not quick enough, you will get placed in the sidelines or even worst, fade into obscurity. When creating a campaign within the online advertising world try to mark the key words as fast as you can. The keywords used in your campaign will be filtered out in the world of search engines and will mark you down as the source. For example, it is January right now which means soon words like “Valentines Day” or “Groundhogs Day” will be in hot pursuit. When creating online content, dub the initial keywords that drives your campaigns first, search engines mark this down and you will be placed amongst the top searches. This will help your brand gain an ownership of the content above all others that may come afterwards.
