Clients Focus on Saving for Retirement
Throughout the last month NBN has created many holiday themed content for clients. But we have done many non-holiday projects as well. For client Cubit Jacobs & Prosek Communications representing Edward Jones, we booked and produced a three hour RMT on retirement planning. Scott Thoma told interviewers that your goals and risks are much different at different stages of your life. For instance, most people in their 30s are more interested in saving for a house or their children’s education than they are in saving for retirement. But since retirement could last as long as 30 years or more, it makes sense to integrate retirement savings into your other savings goals at as early of an age as possible. For our client Fidelity Investments, we did a Massachusetts only story about investing for college. The story went by EDF to stations in The Bay State and also had secured broadcast on two stations in Boston.
And for our client Kemp Goldberg Partners representing Con-Way Freight, we distributed an MVR and an RNR on the success of their unique driver training program. The program just graduated its 500th student into a job this month. The driving school provides free training toward obtaining a Commercial Drivers License. But while attending classes for 12 weeks, students are able to work in a paid part-time position as Con-Way loading-dock workers.
