With the much anticipated football season now underway, there is weekend competition on the gridiron once again. However for students athletes like high school football teams an equally important season started this past month not on the gridiron but in the classroom – Back to School. Pairing the start of these seasons together again this year, State Farm is offering money to high schools through its Friday Night Feats Contest. Family, friends, students, even coaches, can send in video of great plays made by their high school football team and the winning plays will receive a share of $160,000 for their schools. The most thrilling play entered between now and the end of November will win $17,500 for its high school and, all told, 52 schools will win at least $2,500. The annual RNR we distributed for Weber Shandwick, representing State Farm, went as an AudioMax and also includes a secured broadcast this weekend during college football play-by-play on Sirius / XM satellite radio. Besides the English language release, we also distributed a Spanish-language version of the story that went by EDF and secured air on ESPN Desportes to reach the nationwide Hispanic audience.
