On the New Media front, we completed a very successful stand alone OMT on Tuesday with Jean Chatzky. The topic was financial in nature, giving tips on how to afford a recession baby. The pitching was lead by Senior Publicist who worked diligently with others from our media relations team for over a month to secure bookings for a tough tour with very high expectations. Using her savvy media relation skills and advanced P.R. brain, they battled the ups and downs of online pitching, pushing through the tough spots and unseen obstacles, endlessly researching websites and resiliently chasing down hard to reach producers to pitch. Battled but not beaten, and despite the tremendous pressure, our media relations team was able to secure 16 online bookings including major websites such as AOL’s Daily Finance, CafeMom and TLC’s Parentables, all of which have unique monthly visitors in the millions.
With the tour booked, we headed to the offices of Coyne PR to set up our state of the art equipment and conduct the interviews.
As with all of NBN’s endeavors, the tour was a smashing success. We did not lose any interviews and both the clients and the websites were pleased the result.
Overall this was the most successful OMT NBN has done to date
