NBN announces healthcare partnership that will assure Pittsburg consumers the ability of provider choice for high-quality care

July 8, 2011 – This project you probably wouldn’t have heard about this unless you lived in the Pittsburgh area, or of course you worked at NBN. The message was to announce that Highmark Inc. and the West Penn Allegheny Health System (WPAHS) were announcing their intention to pursue an affiliation. The combined healthcare entity will be the health system of choice for health care services to millions of Western Pennsylvanians. With the agreement, the affiliation will assure Western Pennsylvania consumers availability of provider choice for high-quality care for the foreseeable future. NBN did both the production as well as distribution for this B-roll package. We first pre-edited their slates and B-roll and then delivered it to a Pittsburgh edit house via FTP.
NBN’s Sr. Producer directed an HD camera crew and audio technician, shot the press conference and got bites— which she edited into the B-roll for a quick turnaround feed. The distribution included PitchPlus with three 15 minute satellite feeds and calls to editors at stations in target markets, This hyper-local project ended up with 25 broadcasts for 1.8 million broadcast impressions… not bad Pittsburgh!
