Warm Weather? Check. Swimsuit? Check. Clean Beach? You may want to check on that.

May 19th, 2011- Thanks to the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, 20 of our nation’s most popular local beaches are getting the special cleanup treatment.  Partnering with the Surfrider Foundation, Barefoot Wine is calling on all beach lovers and beach goers to do their part in picking up the trash and tidying up our beaches.  Beach Rescue Project members will travel from coast to coast This summer hosting more than 50 beach cleanups and restorations.  Last year, they removed more than twelve tons of litter and debris to help Americans enjoy their day at the beach.

To help raise awareness of the program, we booked and produced an RMT with 19 radio interviews with the Beach Rescue Project’s spokesperson, Singer/Songwriter Brett Dennen, as well as Alexis Henry from the Surfrider Foundation. From our New York City audio studio, their voices were heard by an estimated audience of over 1.8 million. We also shot video over the weekend as Brett Dennen, who recently released his fourth album, joined DC area volunteers at the local Beach Rescue event in Washington DC’S Ancostia Park. The meetup and cleanup was followed by a live performance featuring Dennen.
