National Women’s Health Week
May 4th, 2011: Spring is here and summer is near. The warm weather encourages many to trade the winter boots for running shoes. This week is National Women’s Health Week. The seven day celebration inspires women to lead a fit and nutritious lifestyle, while focusing on health issues that affect women.
To jumpstart the week, our client, Everyday Health has teamed up with the U.S. Office of Women’s Health and daVinci Surgery to present, “Women’sWorks-Tools for a Healthier You.” This program is a free, month long workshop and educational series taking place in hospitals across the country. In a five hour satellite & radio media tour last Wednesday at NYC’s C&C studios, Jenny Sucov, author and editor of the popular online health site everydayhealth.com, advocated strongly that women must put themselves first and learn about medical advances. They can do this by taking part in free educational health programs, like Women’sWorks. This tour went off great without any issues – as we’d expect – and had almost 30 interviews booked, half of which were live.
